Understanding remitter types
Here’s a quick overview of CRA remitter type options:

How to update the remitter type
1. Go to business settings
From the main navigation menu, select Settings
2. Open the Details tab
This section includes your CRA account information
3. Select the remitter type
Click the Remitter type field
Use the dropdown menu to choose the appropriate type
4. Save your changes
Click Save
The updated remitter type will now be used for payroll submissions.
