Changing the status of a client on Paiday Hub

Learn how to easily update the status of your clients when setting them up on Paiday Hub.

When adding a new client to Paiday Hub, the status of the client will depend on whether they are on Paiday Payroll or another payroll software.

Activating a Paiday Payroll Client

If the client is on Paiday Payroll, their account will be in “Pending” status and “Preview Mode” until

  • They sign the banking agreement for pre-authorized debit.

  • Their banking details are added.

  • They complete KYB/KYC. You can complete this for them as their accountant/bookkeeper.

Once all steps are completed they can be marked Active.

To change the client status when all of the above steps are completed, you can click the ellipsis next to their name on Paiday Hub. This is located on the far right. You can then choose Activate.

If you want to bulk activate multiple clients, you can go to the “Pending” tab and click checkboxes next to each client name to choose multiple clients. Then click activate on the button that pops up in the header of the client table. This will activate all the selected clients all at once.

Activating a non-Paiday Payroll Client

If the client is on another payroll software, they will automatically be marked as Active in Paiday Hub.

Deactivating Clients on Paiday Hub

Unfortunately, every accounting firm goes through this. Clients may choose to leave you or you may terminate services with them.

When that happens we have a way for you to deactivate clients so that they don't show on your Paiday Hub.

To deactivate any client, you can go to Paiday Hub and click the ellipsis to the right of a client name and select “Deactivate.” This will set their status to “Inactive.”

Choose the “Inactive” tab to see all deactivated clients.
